Abri invests in early-stage private companies focused on growth-oriented industries with a technological disruption strategic perspective. We are willing to take a longer-term view and assist the company in achieving true value creation.
Why
Often times, founders and early-stage companies have great vision, but lack a thorough understanding of the nuances associated with operating and growing a profitable business. Once Abri has invested in a company, we are dedicated to helping the company achieve its goals in any manner we can. Our deep experience covers the entire spectrum of corporate activity from initial establishment to fundraising to exit. Having functioned in Chairman and CEO roles, as well as senior audit and operational leadership roles for several >100m EUR revenue international companies, we have a thorough understanding of all corporate management areas including operational, financial, regulatory, and reporting. Furthermore, we have a particular expertise in corporate valuations and balance sheet structure and have led numerous financings and refinancings covering all forms of debt, credit, and equity instruments, including complicated debt exchanges and debt-for-equity swaps, to name a few.,
How
First and foremost, we look for committed, honest and strong management teams with a clear vision. We insist on management accountability and strong corporate governance, with documented corporate policies and procedures that facilitate openness and transparency, social equality and environmental responsibility. Secondarily, we focus on value creation, and actively work with companies to define a strategic path towards value realisation, and to define and implement the tactical execution needed to unlock value.
Criteria
Abri considers investments in private companies with the following general criteria:
- Committed and focused management team.
- Average investment size ranging from $50’000 to $1’000’000.
- Investment structure agnostic.
- Pre-money valuations ranging between $1’000’000 and $100’000’000.
- In good corporate standing.
